What Makeup I’m Currently Using

FACE PRODUCTS:
PRIMER & SETTING SPRAY: Cargo Activating Face Primer– it’s a clear gel that leaves the skin a little tacky. Overall just an average primer, nothing special.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray– one of my absolute favorite setting spray! Enough said.

FOUNDATIONS: Clinque Even Better Foundation (25 Buff )- very yellow tone, oxidizes, apply unevenly, and there isn’t any difference  with my skin even after 2-3 months of use. I would not recommend this foundation.
In order to make this foundation work, I have to mix it with my Cover Girl 3-in-1 (832 Nude Beige). This one of my go to drugstore foundations. It applies smoothly, lasts all day, doesn’t make me any oilier, and it’s only a few bucks.

POWDER:  Airspun Loose Powder – it’s light weight, finely milled, easy to buff in, and it’s cheap! The only downside is the strong powdery scent.

CONTOUR/BLUSH: Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit – This product was overly hyped and personally I don’t care for this palette.  Java got hard pan after only 2 uses,  the powders didn’t blend very well/or easily, and can look muddy if not blended properly.
Estee Lauder Blush All Day Natural Cheek Color (in Raspberry) – Great blush for everyday wear.

EYESHADOW PRIMER: Bearminerals 5in1 BB advanced performance Cream Shadow (in Candelit Peach) – It contains too much glitter for my liking. Also my shadow still creases at the end of the day.

EYESHADOWS: Naked Basics- I’m just trying to finish Foxy up before selling this palette. The other shadows are too cool toned for me.
Tartlette in Bloom – I’m currently working on the last row of this palette. All of the shadows I’ve tried so far are pigmented, smooth, and easy to blend except for Funny Girl. For some reason the shadow is rough/grainy, not very pigmented, and got hard pan very easily. The only way to make the shadow work is if I foiled the shadow or use a cream base.
Jouer Creme Eyeshadow Crayon – Very creamy, goes on smooth, a little goes a long way, and you have to set it with a powder shadow.

EYELINER: Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2 in 1 Eyeliner– One of my go to eyeliner. It’s pigmented, goes on smooth, easy to use, and the serum does make my lashes longer.

MASCARAS: My holy grail mascaras for length and volume.
Makeup Forever Smoky Extravagant
Clinque High Impact

BROW PENCIL/GEL: Ck brow pencil & gel duo – Smears easily
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel- I’m not a big fan of this because of the thick wand and the gel tends to flake off throughout the day.

CK One Palettes Swatches & Quick Review

2015-11-25 00.11.02
I recently saw these bad boys on sale at Ulta for only $28 each! The first palette is the Neutrals Redefined (black) and the second palette is Neutrals Revealed (gray). I’ve never tried CK makeup line before so I didn’t really have any expectation for them. But once I’d started playing with them, OH MAN… they are so nice! Well I’m mostly talking about the Neutrals Revealed palette. The eyeshadows are really soft, creamy, and buttery! But for some reason, the black palette doesn’t feel as soft.

Neutrals Revealed

2015-11-25 00.09.23-1 - Copy
(I did most of these with one swipe except for the first two shades and the black.)

-Good Pigmentation
-Super Soft/Creamy/Buttery
-Blendable
-Buildable
-Longevity: Good w/primer

Overall: I’ve been really enjoying the Neutrals Revealed palette! I’m not saying that the Neutrals Redefined/black is a bad palette, it’s just not up to par with the gray one. So if anything just get the gray one and skip out on the black one.
