What a surprise, another disappointing box. What is going on with Sephora? There’s so many repeats now. I got 4 repeated items, two are the exact same product as before and the other two are the same product but in a different shades.
There’s only ONE item I’m excited to try and that is the Peter Thomas Roth Peeling Gel Exfoliant.
The perfume sample I received is the Atelier Vanille Intense, as the name suggest there’s a strong vanilla scent to it. A tad bit too strong for my liking.
I have gotten so many of these champagne shadow sticks!! I want to say this is my fourth or fifth one within the past year and a half. I don’t understand why they keep giving these out. I’m quite tired of them.
This is the second Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb I have received and it’s average. I don’t see any difference after use.
The Nars lipstick irritated and dried my lips after continuous use. I guess it doesn’t work well with my sensitive skin. Also it doesn’t last all day, you will have to reapply every couple of hours.
I haven’t use this enough to have a solid opinion on it, but so far it’s a nice formulation.
I’m going to go ahead and get to the point.. Is this box worth the $10? Not really. All of the products are quite small. Am I happy with what I got? Kind of, I’m not too happy because I got 3 repeated items: GlamGlow Supercleanse Clearing Cream-to-Foam Cleanser, Clinque Pep-start Eye Cream, and Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Mask. Which, for me, weren’t that great. But I am happy to receive the other three items.
GlamGlow SuperCleanse: I’m not a big fan of the scent and cleansing wise it’s mediocre.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair!: A lot of people like this hair mask but for me it didn’t work. It was actually drying on my hair. Also the first time around I had received an actual trial size tube, not a foil sample packet.
Clineque Pep-Start Eye Cream: It’s okay, nothing great. Also there’s barely any product in the tube. It’s very deceiving. Might as well put it in a foil packet.
Products I’m happy about/excited to try:
I’m most excited about trying the Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer since it’s a holy grail item for a bunch of Youtubers. I really want to see what the hype is all about.
What did you guys get? Are you happy with your box? Let me know. I would love to hear from you!
I finally got my Play! box a few days ago! It was late due to the holiday season, which was fine with me. Before opening, I was really hoping for something special in box since it’s Christmas and whatnot. But once again they have disappointed me. First up is the….
They sent me yet another shadow stick, even though I had received three other very similar champagne cream sticks earlier this year! In March 2017 I had received the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow stick in Golden Pink, in May 2017 I had received the Trestique Highlight + Perfect Multipurpose stick in Maldives Luminescent, and sometime earlier this year I had received the Laura Mercier Caviar Shadow stick in Rose Gold. Come on now, they should of at least spread them out more.
Why a hot pink lip stick?! Ugh, how many people actually wear a hot pink lipstick on a day to day basis? Not many… I honestly don’t feel like they are putting an effort into picking their products. Can we please get something new? Maybe a nail polish? Or even some falsies would be great.
I don’t need this spray since I have decent voluminous hair already. I will most likely pass this along to a friend.
The eye cream is easy to apply and doesn’t have any strong scent. Since it is a cream, the product is a little thick and will leave your skin feeling tacky.
I’m glad they included the Clinque liquid liner. This is the only good thing I’m excited about using. I haven’t tried it yet since I still have two opened liquid liners I still need to use up first. But this will be next in line to use.
I’m pretty sure I’ve received this one particular perfume before because I recognized the packaging and scent. But I don’t mind receiving this twice since it has a nice floral scent. If you like Tommy Girl perfumes, you’ll like this one.
I honestly wish we could personalize our boxes more. Or at least tell them which color lipstick we would prefer. How do you guys feel about your Play! boxes? Are you going to stay subscribed to them? Let me know in the comments down below!
It’s that time of the month again! I finally got my Sephora Play! box and I’m happy to say this box does not disappoint. They are all new products to me except the Makeup Forever Ultra foundation, which I honestly don’t mind getting.
First up is the Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer.
From testing it on the back of my hand I can tell that the primer has a thicker and heavier consistency than most. It doesn’t have that light silicone feeling but rather a thick cream. Once blended onto the skin it does smooth everything out and blurs imperfections.
Second is Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation
I’ve talked a lot about this foundation in the past, it’s one of my favorite foundation of all time! It’s a light to medium coverage, lightweight, easy to blend, stay on all day, and looks great in photos!
Third is the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea 4-in-1 Setting Mist
Haven’t heard too much about this setting spray, but still excited to give this a try.
Fourth is the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Skin Booster I honestly didn’t even know Makeup Forever did skin care. Hopefully it’s just as good as their makeup line.
Fifth is Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Scrub
I’m super ecstatic about this product. I’ve been wanting to try this for the longest time. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this.
The Sixth and last product is Tory Burch Bel Azur perfume
It’s not a bad scent but it’s not what I normally go for. Also it’s more of a spring/summer scent. Not very suiting for fall.
And this is what the other side of the pamphlet looks like:
I did look up to see what everyone else got. We all got a primer, foundation, and some sort setting spray or powder. If you’re interested in seeing what other people got, check out mysubscriptionaddiction.com
