Swatches: Lorac Nude Necessities

20160119_020212
The Lorac Nude Necessities costs $30 at Ulta. The packaging is nice and sleek, but very fingerprint prone.

The palette contains 12 shimmer and matte shadows.

The shadows are all soft, smooth, pigmented, and buildable. My only complaint is that the palette needs some dark/deep shades. There’s not enough contrast within the palette.

Swatched with fingers. As you can see Rumba wasn’t pigmented at all. It took me 3-4 swipes to build the color up. But if you use a brush instead, you can get better pigmentation.

I didn’t have any problem swatching these.

Left to right: Fantasy, Dreamy, Fleur, Bazaar, Rebel, Backstage, & Frisky.

The lip glosses:

  • have a matte finish
  •  felt sticky/tacky throughout the whole day
  • pigmented/opaque except for Backstage
  • smooth
  • doesn’t apply evenly
  • feels a little heavy on the lips
  • emphasizes all the cracks and lines on the lips
  • barely any transferring or fading, only time they transferred/faded was during eating and drinking
  • lasts all day, you will need some kind of makeup remover or makeup wipe to take them off

As of right now, I’m on the fence with these lip glosses. I am impressed by how long they can last, but they do feel like paint on the lips. Which I’m not a fan of. I will need to give these a few more try before I can have a solid answer.

Swatches: Too Faced Love Flush Blush Palette

The Too Faced Love Flush blush palette ($36)
20151223_163505
The packaging is cute and simple, a little on the cheap side, but it’s okay. It comes with 6 blushes. All of them were smooth and pigmented. The only thing is that, I don’t feel like these are unique shades. They are very dupe-able.

Please keep in mind these blushes are tiny!! It’s exactly the same size as the Prestige Total Intensity single shadows (0.07oz or 2.0g).

I also used NYX Prismatic single eyeshadow as reference for those who don’t own any Prestige.
