Quick Review: Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation

Milani just recently launched their new face primer, face powder, and foundation some time in January/February 2016. I skipped out on their primers and powder since I already have plenty of other primers and powders at home. Also drugstore primers haven’t worked so well for me. So I only got their foundation for around $9 at Walmart.
There’s really a small shade selection, only 8 shades to choose from with most of them being really yellow based.

The foundation is a thick creamy texture, reminding me of Revlon’s Color stay foundation. This foundation does have a scent, it reminds me of cinnamon or apple pie for some reason. But it’s not noticeable once on the face.

As you can see the foundation is quite dark and yellow for my skin tone. But I did make it work by mixing it with a lighter foundation. Of course I did this after testing the foundation out for a few days. Be aware that the foundations do run a bit dark, so when choosing your shade go a shade or two lighter. The foundation definitely has a medium coverage and you can easily build it up to full with a second or third layer. It did a good job covering my acne and acne scars. The foundation doesn’t feel heavy at all compared to the Color stay foundation.

Some other quick notes about the foundation:
-has a semi-matte finish
-not cakey
-does transfer
-best for normal to combo skin
-Conceal only minor flaws, but you can build it up to cover more (good enough for everyday when you don’t want to use concealer)
– longevity: good 8+ hours w/primer

If you have really oily skin like me, then you will need to prep your skin with some kind of oil controlling lotion/primer/setting spray because I did notice the foundation kind of melting off my T-zone area (where I’m the most oily). If you prep your skin, then the foundation will look flawless and stays on all day!

Overall: I do recommend this if you want a nice fuller coverage foundation. Just remember to go a shade or two lighter than you normally would.
